thank you…

  • G R I

I never thought design would be my career. My life zigged and zagged and the road to this career was an adventure, to say the least. When I started my design business in 2006, it would have knocked me flat to think I would still be doing it today. The design world was not an easy one and while I loved making beautiful spaces for clients, the industry holds many challenges to someone who dreams of living in the woods. I would not have made it through the early years without the help and support and work and research of Grace.

  • Clients

It all begins with someone who is willing to trust you with their home. The very place that means the most. Sharing their dreams and hopes for how they want to live and trusting a designer with a vision and a process that sometimes is blurry and bumpy before it is clear and concise. I still remember the butterflies of walking into clients houses for the first time with a mixture of trepidation and excitement about the job ahead and only hoping that at the end of the work - the clients would be happy! Goodmans - you were the first and I am forever grateful that you asked me to come to Rose Lane to look at lighting. To all my early clients who allowed me to learn and grow, I am thankful.

  • The Team

There are extra special days when I get the photos from the latest shoot. When I see the kitchen or living room or bathroom in the perfect lighting making it look it’s best (thank you, wonderful Rebecca Alpin!) and I envision all the people who had a part in this photo being possible. The office workers and delivery men, the tile setters and electricians. there are SO many hands and SO much talent and effort that goes into homes and rooms and spaces being transformed. Designers get a lot of the credit but our ideas would stay just ideas if there weren’t talented tradespeople and strong movers and dedicated companies and skilled sewers to make it all happen. These are the people who put their heart into this process and they should be celebrated.

Teamwork makes the dream work

Here are some of the people involved in making this beautiful space come to life:

window treatment specialist

upholsterer and sewer

painter

hardwood floor installer

electrician

moving company and movers

photographer

and many more people
who support all of the above!
